Your pathos for arithmetic and your apathy for philosophy and ideology is emphatic.
Europe has been dichotomized into classes. The energetic and the pathetic, the Europhiles and the Eurosceptics. Europe was an idea. Now it is a dilemma.
Your EUrope, is a sarcasm of Europe, where eu=good.
Your “method” – if that isn’t an oxymoron – is phenomenic catastrophe: Orchestrate synchronized doses of chaos in economies, in politics, geography, and then generate micro catastrophes as homeopathic therapy! Trauma for traumas, austerity for austerity, tyranny for tyranny.
Here’s a thesis for you:
Homeopathy is not a therapy for economic problems, nor economic crises.
Your scheme for us? For Europeans to become apolitical. Lethargic. Idiots.
As demagogues, you have no economic or numismatic policies. You have German politics. Which you baptize “European economics”.
After your synods, where you masticate automated tactics and dogmas, you come to the microphones with laconic phrases, an enigma even for Pythia.
Ironically, as technocrats, you can organise the statistics, you can scheme them, and you can chart them in accord with the economic hierarchy of plutocracy.

In theory, 216,000,000,000 euros FROM you TO us.
In practice? 206,300,000,000 euros as therapy TO your bulimic numismatic organisations FROM us.
Ironically, you photograph this as your philanthropy!
Your numismatic tactics are in disharmony with economic schools and BASIC analyses, where:
Ergo, when the P of electricity, telephony, petroleum, go HYPER, logically, the Q goes HYPO. We economize. That’s elasticity, whether it’s in euros or drachmas.
If your economics wasn’t dramatic, it would be comic.
As for Greek history?You have sympathy for the kleptomaniacs of the Parthenon thesauri.
You have sympathy for the kleptomaniacs of our 54,000,000,000 euros from the 1942-1944 period.
Your amnesia of Greece’s charity in the 1939-1945 polemic, is blasphemous to our heroes.
Paradoxically, the synergy that was Europe, now has a monarch!
A narcissist echoing his own ethics, not Europe’s. The 2000 German Christian Democrats’ scandal in lethargy, he now monopolizes Europe’s economic “strategy”. A despot with an agonizing allergy for the alphabet of democracy, kleptocracy’s hero: Wolfgang Schaeuble.
With him as protagonist, your theatre of paranoia on the European scene has put a stigma on Hellenic and European anthropology, with psychosomatic symptoms of agoraphobia, melancholy, agony, panic, hypochondria, xenophobia.
Ideally, this will be a parenthesis. A phase. History has a plethora of you.
I have no pathos for archaic Athenian political ideology. Democracy – a chronological micro stigma in history – is the idealized political system of our epoch.
Oligarchies, monarchies, even tyrannies, baptize themselves “democracy”, with pathos. “Democracy” echoes as a panacea.
Yet, there is no such phenomenon. Only an ideology.
And your apathy for ideology and democracy is history’s anecdote.
But yours is not just a polemic against democracy. Yours is hubris against logic, against sophrosyne, against hoi polloi.
In Greek mythology, there is nemesis. In Greek tragedy, each drama has a catharsis. In your theatre?

Διαβάστε εδώ το κείμενο του Ξ. ΖολώταΥΓ: Έγραψα αυτή την επιστολή προς τους Ευρωπαίους πολιτικούς –φυσικά, και προς τους Έλληνες- για δύο λόγους. Ο πρώτος είναι γιατί ήθελα να ισορροπήσω την επίκαιρη διεθνή δημαγωγία περί «Ελληνικού χρέους». Το χρέος είναι αμοιβαίο. Σε επίπεδο γλωσσολογίας, ετυμολογίας, και εν τέλει ιδεών, η Ευρώπη οφείλει στην Ελλάδα, πολλά.
Ο δεύτερος λόγος είναι πιο πρακτικός. Με την ιδιότητα της καθηγήτριας Αγγλικών, υπενθυμίζω συνεχώς στους μαθητές το πόσο τυχεροί είναι, έχοντας για μητρική γλώσσα την Ελληνική, να μαθαίνουν Αγγλικά. Αφ’ ενός διότι έχουν ένα προβάδισμα, γνωρίζοντας τόσες λέξεις ήδη, αφ’ ετέρου διότι αυτές οι λέξεις στα Αγγλικά που έχουν ελληνική ρίζα, είναι και οι πιο σύνθετες, οι πιο απαιτητικές μέσα στο λεξιλόγιο του σπουδαστή.
Ανεβαίνοντας επίπεδο γλωσσομάθειας, αυτό γίνεται πιο αισθητό. Για παράδειγμα, στο Βρετανικό σύστημα του Cambridge, μόλις ο μαθητής αρχίσει την προετοιμασία για το FCE (το πρώτο επίσημο πιστοποιητικό γλωσσομάθειας), κάνουν την εμφάνισή τους δεκάδες, εκατοντάδες λέξεις με Ελληνική ρίζα.
Η έκπληξη, αλλά και η χαρά των παιδιών όταν τις συναντούν, είναι μεγάλη. Όχι μόνον γιατί αναγνωρίζουν μια συγκεκριμένη λέξη, αλλά γιατί συνειδητοποιούν ότι γνωρίζουν μία σειρά από λέξεις, εφ’ όσον γνωρίζουν την ετυμολογία και των συνθετικών της, από το ελληνικό σχολείο.
Τότε αρχίζει το παιχνίδι, ‘μαθαίνω Αγγλικά’.
Από αυτή τη χαρά ορμώμενη, αποφάσισα να συντάξω αυτό το άρθρο υπό μορφή επιστολής, ενώ είμαι βέβαιη ότι δεν θα αναγνωσθεί από τους προσφωνούμενους.
Θα αναγνωσθεί όμως, ελπίζω, από νέους που θα αγωνιστούν να γίνουν πολίτες. Κι αυτό είναι πολύ σημαντικό.
